X4 Handheld X-Ray (Carbon Nanotube Technology) by MADS

DESCRIPTION

3 YEAR WARRANTY

X4 Handheld X-Ray. This technology is designed with a Carbon Nano Tube (CNT) X-ray tube to boost efficiency all while maintaining a lightweight, 4lb build. CNT tube technology is  more streamlined than standard filament vacuum x-ray tubes.

Conventional x-ray machines consist of a long tube with an electron emitter, typically a tungsten filament, at one end and a metal electrode at the other. The tungsten filament emits electrons when it is heated to 1,000 degrees Celsius.

CNT uses an array of vertical carbon nanotubes that serve as hundreds of tiny electron guns. While tungsten requires time to warm up, the nanotubes emit electrons from their tips instantly when a voltage is applied to them.

Along with the CNT tube, the X4 Handheld also features a protective scatter shield that exceeds 0.5 mm Pb (lead equivalency) for user protection, per the press release. Benefitting the practitioner, this shield ensure maximum safety. The beam itself is a fixed 70kV/2mA with a 0.4 mm focal spot. Its 4lb structure is designed to reduce arm fatigue, improving the ergonomic experience for the clinician. The x-ray is indicated for a variety of procedures, but is especially useful for clinicians who perform implants or have pediatric patients or patients with more specific needs.

The X4 Handheld is a power-efficient device, reportedly capturing up to 800 images per a single charge. The battery is smaller than most standard batteries, contributing to the lightweight solution.

Military-Spec Carrying case available for an additional $450
